I have tried right clicking the X1900XT and updating it's driver to the Catalyst 9.1 driver (last driver supported by ATI) and it says that Windows is using the most recent for the X1900XT. I have tried right clicking the V5600 in the Device ManagerĪnd updating the driver that way and the same thing happens. When it comes back up, it finds the X1900XT, installs it with the default Windows 7 driver (8.56.1.15) and it worksįine only the driver for the V5600 reverts back to the 8.56.1.15 that Windows ships with too, instead of the 8.643 (the most current driver) that I installed earlier. The Control Panel>System>Device Manager and verify that the driver for the V5600 updated to 8.643, uninstall the X1900XT and reboot the system. When I install the driver and Catalyst Control Center for the V5600 (FirePro driver v8.643) it installs fine but disables the X1900XT. I have an ATI FireGL V5600 and an ATI X1900XT installed in the same system both supporting their own 22" HP LCD's. I beta'd Windows 7 and ran RC1 and never had this problem. There is a very large problem with the final release of Windows 7 from RC1 and the betas.
